Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TalkAgent ("TalkAgent", "we", "us") handles information when you use the TalkAgent mobile application.
Information we process
- Account identifiers, such as a randomly generated Supabase user ID and, when you choose to link an account, your email address.
- Audio you intentionally record or stream, recognized speech, translations, conversation goals, language selections, and AI responses.
- Purchase and point-ledger information, including product, transaction reference, point balance, and refund or dispute status.
- Technical records needed for security and operation, such as request IDs, selected model or route, token or duration totals, error codes, latency, app version, device model, and sanitized crash diagnostics. Conversation text and audio are not included in crash telemetry.
How voice and AI data is used
Audio and text are sent only when you request speech recognition, translation, speech generation, or an AI conversation. Depending on the selected language and feature, data may be processed by OpenAI or Google Cloud. We use Supabase for authentication, backend functions, authorization, usage metering, and point accounting.
TalkAgent does not sell personal information or use conversation content for advertising.
Local conversation storage
Saved conversation records are stored on your device using AES-GCM encryption. The encryption key is kept in the device secure credential store. Android cloud backup is disabled for TalkAgent. You can clear saved conversations in the app.
Purchases
Google Play or the Apple App Store processes payment information. RevenueCat helps connect store purchases to your TalkAgent account and point balance. TalkAgent does not receive your full card number. We require a linked account before point purchases so consumable purchases can be associated with a recoverable user ID.
Retention
Local conversations remain until you delete them or remove the app. Backend usage, security, billing, refund, and audit records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet accounting or legal obligations. External processors apply their own retention terms.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with service providers needed to operate TalkAgent, including Supabase, OpenAI, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, and the applicable mobile app store, or when required by law. These providers may process data in other countries.
Your choices and rights
You can avoid linking an email until you wish to purchase points, revoke microphone permission in device settings, delete local conversations, and request account or backend data deletion. Some billing records may need to be retained where legally required.
Children
TalkAgent is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age, users below that age must use the service only with valid parental consent.
Security
Provider API secrets remain on protected Supabase Edge Functions. The mobile app receives only short-lived session credentials where required. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls, encrypted local storage, request validation, and server-side usage authorization.
